Tour duration: 7 days.

Departure from: Tangier.

Arrival in: Marrakech.

Itinerary

At the agreed time, we will meet you at the Tangier airport or port to begin our adventure to our first destination: Chefchaouen.

On the way to the Blue City, we will enjoy picturesque landscapes and pass through several traditional villages, making stops along the way.

Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, you will have free time to immerse yourself in and explore the iconic blue alleys of its ancient Medina, discover local crafts, and enjoy its world-renowned views and panoramas. We recommend walking along the city wall to see Bab El Ain (a gate connecting the city's new area to the southern part of the old Medina). Don’t miss Mohammed V Square and Uta el Hammam Square, home to the red walls of the Kasbah, which dates back to the 15th century—a highly recommended visit.

Accommodation in Chefchaouen.

After breakfast at your accommodation, we will continue our journey to Fez. Our first stop will be Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. Volubilis is a well-preserved ancient Roman city and one of the best archaeological sites in northern Africa.

We’ll then head to Meknes, another UNESCO World Heritage Site (since 1996) known for the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail (a 17th-century Moroccan sultan).

In Meknes, we’ll explore the Medina's walls, lose ourselves in its alleys, and discover its magic. We will visit the Bab el Mansour gate, the Jewish Quarter, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.

Afterward, we’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Fez, where we will spend the night.

After breakfast, we will explore the imperial city of Fez, home to the largest Medina in the world and the oldest university globally, making it a cultural hub.

We will start our day with a guided tour of the Medina of Fez, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will wander through its narrow streets, uncover hidden treasures, and delve into its rich history.

Our tour begins at the magnificent gate of the Royal Palace, continues through the Jewish Quarter (dating back to the 14th century), and includes stops at key cultural and historical landmarks such as the tanneries and the world-famous Qarawiyyin University.

After lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant, we will end our visit at a viewpoint to capture a panoramic memory of the Medina. Accommodation will be in Fez.

After breakfast, we will leave Fez and head toward the desert. Our route passes through Ifrane (known as "the Switzerland of Morocco") and Azrou, where we will explore the Middle Atlas and the Cedar Forest, home to ancient trees and Barbary macaques.

We will continue through Midelt, known as the “City of Apples,” where we will stop for lunch. Later, we’ll drive through Errachidia (with its impressive palm valley, Ziz Valley), Erfoud (famous for fossil discoveries), and Rissani (a city known for its date market and being the province's main marketplace).

Finally, we’ll arrive at the foot of the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, the tallest in North Africa. From here, we’ll embark on a camel trek across this majestic desert, stopping to witness the unforgettable sunset.

We will reach our desert camp, where we will be welcomed with traditional tea and enjoy a delicious Berber dinner under the vast African starry sky. After dinner, we’ll gather around a fire for a traditional drum music show, learning to play instruments unique to Berber culture.

We’ll wake up early to watch the sunrise in the heart of the desert (optional but highly recommended!). After breakfast, we’ll begin a 4x4 tour to explore the region in depth. We will cross the desert dunes in true Dakar style, venturing into its heart and living a unique experience and we’ll visit a nomadic settlement to learn about their lifestyle and customs, followed by a stop at “Mifis” (a former French mining and military area).

From here, we’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the desert and visit Khamlia, a village with roots in Mali. In Khamlia, we’ll enjoy traditional tea and a Gnaoua music performance featuring traditional dress, instruments, and dances.

Lunch will be at a local restaurant in Khamlia, featuring regional specialties like Berber pizza. Afterward, we’ll return to the accommodation to rest.

The evening is free for activities such as desert sports (availability upon request), walking the dunes, or watching the sunset.

Dinner and accommodation will be in Merzouga.

After breakfast, we’ll head to Rissani, also known as Sijilmassa, to explore its traditional market. A hub for trading perishable goods and handicrafts, this is one of the oldest and largest markets in the region.

Next, we’ll pass through the surrounding palm groves and journey to Dadès Valley, passing through Berber villages like Erfoud and Tinghir. We’ll make a stop at the stunning Todra Gorges (time permitting).

Dinner and accommodation will be in Dadès.

After breakfast, we’ll travel the "Route of the Thousand Kasbahs," passing through the Valley of Roses and Skoura.

Our first stop will be Ouarzazate, often called the "Gateway to the Desert" and famous for its film studios and historic sites such as the Taourirt Kasbah.

We’ll continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, and a fortified village that has served as a filming location for movies and series such as "Game of Thrones" and "Gladiator."

After lunch, we’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters) to arrive in Marrakech, where our services will conclude.
