Tour duration: 7 days.

Departure from: Marrakech.

Arrival in: Fez.

Itinerary

On the agreed day and time, we will pick you up at Marrakech Airport and take you to your accommodation so you can settle in and rest. The first day will be free, allowing you to have an initial contact with the country and the Red City. Depending on your arrival time, it may be possible to schedule some activities (availability to be confirmed).

Accommodation will be in a hotel or Riad located in the city of Marrakech, according to the agreed accommodation category.

After a revitalizing breakfast at your accommodation, we will take you on a guided tour of Marrakech, led by an official guide. On the tour, we will explore the streets of the Red City, discovering its essence and most prominent monuments, such as the Koutoubia Mosque (built in the 13th century, sister to the Giralda in Seville and considered the lighthouse and spiritual center of Marrakech), the Saadian Tombs (dating back to the 16th century, with a notable Carrara marble central vault), and the Bahia Palace (from the 16th century, an example of aristocratic life in medieval Muslim times, where its cedar wood ceiling in the ambassador's hall stands out). Finally, we will walk to the “Jemaa el-Fnaa Square,” a UNESCO World Heritage site, the heart and nerve center of the city.

The afternoon will be free for you to explore the city streets, discover the souk firsthand, and enjoy a typical natural juice or tea in Jemaa el-Fnaa Square or one of its famous terraces while watching the sunset.

Accommodation will be in Marrakech.

After breakfast, we will begin our journey. We will cross the High Atlas Mountains, where you will have the opportunity to cross the country’s highest mountain pass, Tizi n’Tichka, which reaches an altitude of 2,260 meters.

We will continue our trip through several picturesque villages until we reach the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site (a title awarded in 1987). This Kasbah is a fortified complex surrounded by a large wall and is the backdrop for films and series such as "Game of Thrones," "Gladiator," and "Prince of Persia."

We will continue our journey to one of the world’s most famous cities, known for being the setting of major films and feature films ("The Jewel of the Nile," "Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra," or "Kingdom of Heaven") and also known as the gateway to the desert: Ouarzazate, which in Berber means "without noise." Additionally, we will visit historically significant sites such as the Taurirt Kasbah.

We will then continue on the so-called "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs" towards Skoura. There, we will cross the Rose Valley to reach our final destination, the Dades Valley. We will have dinner and spend the night at the Dades Gorges.

On the fourth day, we will have breakfast and continue our journey, admiring the landscapes of the Dades Valley. We will cross countless Berber villages (or Tamazight) and visit the impressive Todra Gorges.

After this visit, we will head to the desert, where we will reach the foot of the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, the Merzouga Desert, which boasts the highest dunes in North Africa.

From here, we will embark on a camel excursion across this majestic desert, making a stop to watch the sunset. After this (unforgettable) moment, we will continue deep into the heart of the desert, where we will arrive at the camp where you will spend the night.

Upon arrival, we will be welcomed with traditional tea and enjoy a delicious Berber dinner in the midst of the desert's vastness. After dinner, we will continue enjoying an unforgettable night with a drum music performance. We will sit around a fire and have the chance to learn to play different traditional instruments from Berber culture, experiencing a unique evening under one of Africa’s most impressive starry skies.

We will wake up before sunrise to witness the sunrise in the heart of the desert (this activity is optional but highly recommended!). After breakfast, we will start a 4x4 tour to explore the area in more detail. We will cross the desert dunes in true Dakar style, venturing into its heart and living a unique experience and we will visit a nomadic settlement, where we will have the opportunity to talk with the locals and learn about their customs and lifestyle.

We will then continue to "Mifis" (an old mining and military area of French origin, where remains of old mining sites and buildings can still be seen), from which you can see the border with Algeria, marked by a mountain wall on the horizon.

Next, we will visit a viewpoint to enjoy a panoramic view of the desert, before heading to the village of Khamlia (originating from Mali). In this small village, we will enjoy traditional tea while listening to a concert of Gnawa music, complete with traditional clothing, instruments, and dances.

We will have lunch at a restaurant in Khamlia, where we can try local dishes, such as Berber pizza. After a delicious meal, we will head to the accommodation to rest.

The afternoon will be free for those more adventurous to enjoy activities in the desert (availability to be confirmed). Additionally, we will have the opportunity to walk through the dunes, explore the area further, or enjoy the sunset.

Dinner and accommodation in Merzouga.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will say goodbye to the desert and head north. We will pass through various towns, including Rissani, Erfoud, and Errachidia, as well as picturesque areas such as the Ziz Valley and the city of apples, Midelt, where we will have lunch.

From Midelt, we will continue towards Fez, passing through Azrou and Ifrane, marveling at landscapes such as the impressive Middle Atlas mountain range and the cedar forest (home to millennial trees and a population of Barbary macaques).

We will arrive in Fez in the afternoon and head directly to our accommodation.

Breakfast at the accommodation and transfer to the airport. Depending on the departure time of your flight, it may be possible to schedule additional activities (availability to be confirmed).

Farewell and end of our services.
