Itinerary

At the agreed time, we will meet you at Casablanca airport and transfer you to your accommodation, where you can settle in and rest. The first day will be free for you to get acquainted with the country and the "White City."

Accommodation in a hotel in Casablanca, based on the agreed category.

After breakfast, our adventure begins with an exploration of Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and its economic and business hub. We’ll visit the spectacular Hassan II Mosque, the seventh-largest mosque in the world and the largest in Africa.

Next, we’ll head to Rabat, the nation’s capital and the residence of Morocco’s king. Here, we’ll explore historical landmarks such as the Chellah Necropolis, Hassan Tower, Mohamed V Mausoleum, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas. After lunch at a traditional restaurant, we’ll journey to Chefchaouen, the “Blue City.” Along the way, you’ll enjoy picturesque landscapes and stops in traditional villages.

Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, you’ll have free time to wander the blue-washed streets of the medina, discover local crafts, and admire stunning views.

Accommodation in a Hotel or Riad in Chefchaouen.

After breakfast, we’ll head to Fez, stopping at Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. This well-preserved Roman archaeological site is one of North Africa's finest.

Our next stop is Meknes, another UNESCO World Heritage city, known for the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail (a 17th-century Sultan). We’ll wander through the medina’s winding streets, visit Bab el-Mansour Gate, the Jewish Quarter, and Moulay Ismail's Mausoleum.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll continue to Fez for accommodation.

After breakfast, we’ll immerse ourselves in this imperial city. Fez is renowned for having the largest Medina in the world and as a cradle of culture, home to the first university in the world.

We’ll start our adventure with a guided tour led by an official guide through the Medina of Fez. You’ll explore its narrow streets, discover hidden spots, and dive into its rich history. The Medina of Fez, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a global hub for craftsmanship, particularly leatherwork and pottery.

We’ll visit the stunning gate of the Royal Palace, move through the Jewish Quarter (dating back to the 14th century), and explore cultural landmarks such as the Tanneries and the famous University of Al-Qarawiyyin.

After immersing ourselves in the history and culture of Fez, we’ll pause for lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant. The day concludes with a panoramic view of the Medina from a scenic overlook, leaving you with an unforgettable memory of Fez.

Accommodation is in Fez.

After breakfast, we’ll say goodbye to Fez and head toward the desert. Along the way, we’ll pass through towns like Ifrane, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” and Azrou, where we’ll discover the Middle Atlas and its cedar forests with ancient trees and Barbary macaques.

We’ll continue to Midelt, “the apple city,” where we’ll stop for lunch. Then we’ll pass through Errachidia, famed for its palm valley (the Ziz Valley), Erfoud (a city well-known for fossil discoveries), and Rissani (famous for dates and its main regional market).

Finally, we’ll reach the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi in the Merzouga Desert, home to the tallest dunes in North Africa. Here, we’ll embark on a camel trek across the stunning desert landscape, pausing to watch the sunset.

Afterward, we’ll journey into the heart of the desert to our campsite for the night. You’ll be welcomed with traditional tea and treated to a delicious Berber dinner under the vast desert sky. The evening will include a lively drum performance around a fire, offering you the chance to play traditional Berber instruments and marvel at one of Africa’s most spectacular starry skies.

We’ll wake up early to watch the sunrise in the desert (optional but highly recommended). After breakfast, we’ll begin a 4x4 tour to explore the area in detail: We will cross the desert dunes in true Dakar style, venturing into its heart and living a unique experience.

You’ll visit a nomadic settlement and have the chance to interact with its inhabitants, learning about their customs and lifestyle.

Next, we’ll head to Mifis, a former French mining and military area, where you can see remnants of mines and structures and catch a glimpse of the Algerian border marked by distant mountain walls.

We’ll visit a panoramic viewpoint to appreciate the desert’s vastness before heading to Khamlia, a village originally founded by people from Mali. In Khamlia, you’ll enjoy traditional tea while listening to a live performance of Gnawa music, including traditional dress, instruments, and dances.

Lunch will be at a restaurant in Khamlia, featuring local specialties like Berber pizza. The rest of the afternoon is free for adventurous activities (subject to availability), a leisurely stroll through the dunes, or a relaxing sunset viewing.

Dinner and overnight accommodation in Merzouga.

After breakfast, we’ll head to Rissani, also known as Sijilmassa, to explore its traditional market. This key regional hub supplies perishable goods and handicrafts to surrounding areas and is one of the region’s oldest and largest markets.

We’ll then bid farewell to the palm valley and continue toward the Dadès Valley. Along the way, we’ll pass Berber villages like Erfoud and Tinghir, eventually reaching the breathtaking Todra Gorges, where we’ll stop (weather permitting).

The day concludes in Dadès, where we’ll have dinner and stay overnight.

After breakfast, we’ll travel along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs”, passing through the Valley of Roses and Skoura. We’ll stop at Ouarzazate, a globally renowned filming location for movies such as “The Jewel of the Nile” and “Gladiator”. Known as the “Gateway to the Desert”, Ouarzazate also features landmarks like the Kasbah Taourirt and Atlas Film Studios.

Next, we’ll visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village surrounded by walls that served as a setting for films and series such as “Game of Thrones” and “Prince of Persia”. We’ll have lunch at this magical site before crossing the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka, Morocco’s highest mountain pass (7,415 ft), and arriving in Marrakech for the night.

After a revitalizing breakfast at your accommodation, we will embark on a guided tour of the Red City, Marrakech. On this tour, we will explore the streets of Marrakech, discovering its essence and most important monuments, such as the Koutoubia Mosque (a 13th-century structure; a sister of Seville's Giralda and considered the spiritual center of Marrakech), the Saadian Tombs (dating back to the 16th century, famous for their central Carrara marble dome), and the Bahia Palace (16th century, a prime example of aristocratic life in medieval Muslim Morocco, with a notable cedar wood ceiling in the Ambassador's Hall).

We will then walk to the Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the heart of the city. After a lunch stop, we will visit the Majorelle Gardens and the Menara Garden

The rest of the afternoon will be free for you to wander through the city's streets, explore the souk, and enjoy a typical natural juice or tea in Jemaa el-Fnaa Square or one of its famous terraces while watching the sunset. Overnight accommodation will be in Marrakech.

After breakfast, we will bid farewell to the Red City and head towards the coast. Our destination is Essaouira, a city located on the Atlantic coast and a former Portuguese colony, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2001.

In this fishing town, we will visit a women-run argan oil factory to learn about the production process and explore the well-known port. We will also have the chance to enjoy lunch at the traditional seafood stalls, where fresh fish and seafood from the local market are served.

The afternoon will be free to explore the city’s walls and medina, stroll along the beach, or take a relaxing swim in the Atlantic Ocean. Overnight accommodation will be in Essaouira.

After breakfast at your accommodation, you will have a free day to continue exploring Essaouira, enjoying its beaches, and witnessing one of the most magical sunsets on the Atlantic coast.

There is also the possibility of organizing activities to make the most of this coastal city, such as surfing, horseback riding, or quad biking on the beach, among others (availability upon request).

After breakfast at the accommodation, we will embark on the return journey from Essaouira to Casablanca, heading directly to the airport.
