After breakfast, we will pick you up at your hotel to begin the adventure to the Ourika Valley, located in Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains (a sub-range that forms part of the larger Atlas Mountain range and boasts the highest peaks in North Africa).
The Ourika Valley is an oasis just a few kilometers from Marrakech. It was shaped by torrents and heavy rains descending from the Atlas Mountains, creating a fertile valley surrounded by towering peaks and dotted with small Berber (or Amazigh) villages.
Upon arriving in this area, we will follow the course of the Ourika River, allowing us to enjoy magnificent scenery: majestic mountains surrounding the valley, with small villages nestled into the hillsides. Along the way, we will visit a traditional Berber house, where you can enjoy traditional mint tea and learn about the Amazigh lifestyle.
Next, we will explore a traditional Berber market, which takes place on Mondays (Ourika market) or Thursdays (Aghbalou market). We will then continue our journey to the Setti-Fatma waterfalls. These natural cascades form a unique and breathtaking landscape. While in this magical location, we will dine at one of the traditional restaurants by the riverside. You will also have the opportunity to explore the charming streets of this small village.
After this fascinating visit, we will stop at a women’s cooperative producing Argan oil on our way back to Marrakech.
Upon arriving in Marrakech, we will bid farewell and conclude our services.
