Itinerary
After breakfast, we will pick you up at your hotel to begin the adventure to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.
We will cross the High Atlas Mountains, where you will have the opportunity to traverse the highest mountain pass in Morocco: Tizi n’Tichka (also known as the Tichka Pass), which stands at an altitude of 2,260 meters. Along this journey, you will enjoy a variety of landscapes, ranging from desert-like vistas to mountainous terrain, offering stunning panoramas to discover.
The trip continues through several charming villages until we reach the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. A Kasbah is a fortified complex surrounded by a large wall; in this case, it is the backdrop of movies and series such as "Game of Thrones", "Gladiator", and "Prince of Persia". Ait Ben Haddou is the most significant and well-known Kasbah in Morocco. Furthermore, it was once a crucial stronghold for the caravans of the Salt Route—ancient trade routes where merchants transported gold, ivory, slaves, and salt from sub-Saharan Africa to Marrakech for trade.
You will have the chance to explore this historical site, wandering through its streets and browsing artisan shops. You can also explore traditional adobe houses and conclude the visit in the afternoon at a scenic viewpoint to enjoy one last breathtaking view of this remarkable landscape before returning to Marrakech.
Upon arrival in Marrakech, we will bid farewell and conclude our services.
