Itinerary
After breakfast, we will pick you up at your hotel to start our adventure.
Our first stop will be Meknes, a city declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. Meknes is known for housing the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail (a 17th-century Sultan of Morocco) and is often referred to as the “Moroccan Versailles.” From 1672 to 1727, Meknes was the capital of Morocco under the reign of Moulay Ismail, before the capital was moved to Marrakech and finally, in 1912, to Rabat, which remains the capital of Morocco to this day.
In Meknes, we will enter the Medina’s walls to explore its narrow streets and discover its unique charm. In addition to visiting the iconic Bab el Mansour gate, we will tour the Jewish Quarter and the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.
After exploring this majestic city, we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.
Volubilis is an ancient Roman city and one of the best-preserved archaeological sites in North Africa. We will have the opportunity to explore this site in detail.
After saying farewell to this ancient Roman city, we will return to Fez, where our services will conclude.
